About My Clients
Do you feel disconnected, wondering why your thoughts and emotions seem out of sync? Are you searching for someone who truly understands how trauma shapes your inner world? If so, you’ve found the right therapist — because helping people who feel stuck and unseen is at the heart of what I do. Whether you carry the weight of a single overwhelming event or the cumulative impact of smaller wounds, your pain is valid. We'll work together to help you feel more connected and whole.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is rooted in bottom-up modalities, recognizing that healing begins in the body. I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Polyvagal Theory to help clients process trauma and regulate their nervous systems. Trauma is not just a memory—it’s an embodied experience, often stored as patterns of tension, avoidance, or dysregulation. Through somatic awareness, bilateral stimulation, and parts work, I help clients reconnect with themselves, releasing emotions that feel stuck. My 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher training deepens this approach, incorporating movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to foster self-awareness and safety. By tuning into the body’s signals, clients can shift from survival mode to a place of empowerment and healing. My goal is to create a compassionate space where you can explore, process, and move toward lasting emotional freedom.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to grow and heal, sometimes you just need a little help along the way. Through a trauma-informed lens, I understand the impacts of the systems and institutions within which we live, and how they can have a profound impact on your mental health. My goal is to help people learn how to navigate the very real and difficult challenges these systems create, based in a deep understanding of intersectionality. I hope to lead my clients to healing and wholeness, helping you find your strength within.
