About My Clients
I specialize in working with clients who have experienced trauma, grief/loss, sexual health, LGBTQ+, anxiety and depression. I also have extensive knowledge of the child welfare and family court systems. You are the expert of your life. I work to be curious about your experiences and provide new perspectives. I am honored to be a guide on your journey to self-discovery and healing.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker. I obtained my Master in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 2017. I have eight years of experience working with children, adults, adolescents, young adults, and families. I practice from the framework that our minds and bodies are deeply connected. Exploring how they impact one another is important for our overall health and wellness. It is important for me to practice from a holistic and person-centered space. Everyone I work with will have a different experience, and I tailor treatment to meet the needs of the client and families. Most often, I utilize Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy; as well as a host of various techniques to provide you and /or your family with the best outcome possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs reflect many of my professional beliefs, which is why I became a social worker, and why I enjoy working with those seeking to improve their mental health and well-being. There are things we don't have control over in life, but we do have control over how we think, what we do with those thoughts , and how we respond to our feelings. I stand for equality and fairness. I continuously work to educate myself on the world around me.
