About My Clients
I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, or life on the autism spectrum. I understand these unique challenges and can assist whether it's managing complex emotions, building executive functioning skills/social confidence, or finding what coping strategies work best for you. Together, we can create goals and find which approach is best for you.
My Background and Approach
I have my master's in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College and am licensed in New York. I have 6+ years of experience working with clients, mainly in school settings around the city. Throughout this time, I've developed skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that can help client's understand how their thoughts and feelings can impact their behaviors, especially when it comes to anxiety or depression. My approach is warm and collaborative, often working with my client to find what works best, whether it's talk therapy, journaling, or maybe even weekly "homework" to keep track of progress and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value honesty and empathy in every session, and I believe therapy should center on you—your experiences, your voice, and the goals that matter most to you. I identify as a Hispanic and Catholic woman, which allows me to connect with and understand those who grew up in traditional or faith-based households. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your cultural and personal values are respected and celebrated as part of your healing journey.
