I believe everyone is an artist, has a story worth telling, and deserves to be heard.

Art Therapist in CHARLESTON, SC

About My Clients

I help people who have experienced trauma, ptsd, domestic/sexual violence, and anxiety due to life's transitions and stressors. Together we seek to determine patterns of what is working and what no longer serves them in their day-to-day lives.

My Background and Approach

Using attachment-based narrative art therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) we resolve traumatic memories and the negative beliefs about oneself. I take into account the whole person and view each of my clients from a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed lens. I hold the assumption that everyone has been impacted by past events, experiences, and emotions that can leave us with wounded inner parts of ourselves that need healing and integration. Through this work, we will address memories, the nervous system, and how primary relationships shape our worldview.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in interpersonal neurobiology and connection. The therapeutic relationship and alliance is a number one priority in my practice. I am also committed to dismantling systemic oppression and how the mental health field has perpetuated these issues. I am engaged in ongoing self-reflective identity and cultural work in the context of being committed to social justice and creating an anti-racist practice.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
