About My Clients
I work with people who identify as artists and visionaries, empaths, highly sensitive persons, or creative/connected. I believe that anything and everything you bring to the therapy room deserves to take up space and be seen. Sometimes this feeling is intangible and language fails to encompass this journey. My job is to help you better learn how to fully engage with your human experience. Most often it happens through simply being witnessed in conversation with another, and I am here to witness.
My Background and Approach
I work with people to develop insight that feels personal. With a focus on meaning-making through methodologies such as art and somatic approaches with lenses in feminist, experiential, humanistic, and liberation psychology, I want to help others relearn how to trust and tap into their intuition. I often use artistic and somatic approaches such as painting and music or even yoga. I would describe my style as conversational and believe it is my job to pull meaning out of anything brought to session, even if it feels silly. Sometimes session is full of laughter or crying, sometimes we may color together, and sometimes you may tell me about your week while folding laundry. I want you to show up exactly how you need in each and every moment. "But even when it is misunderstood, there is power in the telling." -Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I will always hold firm in my belief that the personal is political. It imperative to me that my therapy always comes from a lens that is committed to a consistent decolonization of practices. I have lived experience as a person with chronic illness and invisible disability, and I often work within this population.
