About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples, polycules, and families of all kinds. I am LGBTQ+ and poly friendly! Our work will focus on your relationships - past, present, and future. This often includes exploring your childhood and working through family of origin issues as well as focusing on your current platonic and romantic relationships. We may also work on how to find and build healthy relationships in the future.
My Background and Approach
My specialized training in relationships took place at the University of Maryland, College Park. My undergraduate degree is in Family Studies with a minor in Women's Studies and my Master's degree is in Marriage and Family therapy. I regularly attend trainings in order to learn more about to support people as they build a connected relationship with themselves and their internal parts and the others in their lives. I take an active approach in therapy by teaching skills and providing homework after all sessions. My goal is for you to have an integrated experience rather than feeling that your therapy is outside of your day to day life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about people living a life that makes sense for them. I will work with you so you are able to move forward and write a story for yourself that feels safe and centered. I believe that humans are often trying to cope with stressors in the best way they can and I am privileged to help people develop new coping skills that feel better and safer.
