About My Clients
The clients I work best with often struggle with negative self-talk, low self-worth, or patterns they can't seem to break. They may have strong insight but still feel disconnected from or critical of parts of who they are. Often, these patterns are rooted in painful or traumatic experiences. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop a healthier relationship with the parts of you that you've struggled to accept, and build the confidence to live according to your authentic values.
My Background and Approach
My path to becoming a therapist began when I experienced firsthand the impact a compassionate and skilled therapist can have in helping someone heal from painful experiences. This inspired me to pursue a career supporting others, with a focus on people working through the impact of childhood trauma. I earned my degree in social work from Monmouth University and have worked in several clinical settings, including intensive outpatient treatment and community mental health. These experiences have allowed me to work with people from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of mental health concerns and life circumstances. I take an integrative, client-centered approach using CBT, DBT, and IFS. We may begin with practical coping skills before exploring deeper patterns underlying emotional distress. I believe a warm, conversational, and collaborative approach to therapy is essential for creating meaningful change.
