About My Clients
Struggling to imagine your future? Feeling lost, stuck, trapped, like you are not fully present or are unseen? Are you in a rocky moment of navigating everything else that moves when you start to change? I hear you. I have been there, and probably will be again. My goal is to listen deeply and provide an empathetic structure that witnesses and welcomes all parts of you, so that you can tune in to what you most deeply need and move forward, to keep becoming.
My Background and Approach
When our situations change, our nervous system and unconscious beliefs can be slow to follow. I use tools from trauma-informed modalities like EMDR, IFS and Gestalt to support you in going deep, finding unmet emotional needs and painful lessons that may be limiting today, and provide stabilizing experiences that build internal connection and trust. While I use tools from structured modalities, I work from the perspective that everyone’s path is totally unique, and no diagnosis or intervention is perfectly descriptive of or suited to any one individual. We will collaborate to find what works for you. All parts of you are welcome. A safe and affirming therapeutic relationship is key to successful therapy experience and individual growth. You can trust that I will be firmly on your team with the understanding that you are not your your symptoms. My approach is person-centered and collaborative rather than pathologizing
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is person-centered, gender affirming, queer, trans, kink, sex and body-positive. I believe that labels are helpful, and also that they cannot do any individual full justice. That’s my way of saying please do bring your full, wild self! I especially enjoy working with queer and trans clients, those who experience familial and cultural trauma, and folks questioning or considering the intersections of their identities. I’m quite experienced in supporting the emotionally tender process of coming out and navigating early transition at any age. I can provide letters for access to HRT and other aspects of medical transition for ongoing clients.
