About My Clients
Relationships are hard, particularly the ones that are most important to us. Whether that be our relationship with ourselves, our bodies, our children or our partners. We want to feel valued, connected and loved but end up feeling angry, hurt, or anxious. My practice centers around serving individuals and couples of all types, who are struggling with these things, desiring healthier relationships with themselves, their partners and their communities. I offer both in person, and online therapy.
My Background and Approach
It takes courage to seek out help and invite another into one's struggle or vulnerability. I am mindful of this when I sit with my clients and I work to create a space that feels comfortable and safe for you to open up. I try to be a good mix of kind and compassionate as well as strong and direct. I am trained as a Couple and Family Therapist utilizing a mix of Relational Psychodynamic Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy in session. In our work together, we will explore how your past experiences and relationships inform how you live and function in the present, individually and/or relationally. As we gain an understanding of how you got here, we will also learn what needs to shift in order for you to get to the place you would like to be.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all people are worthy of love and respect. This is why I devote my life and practice to helping others recognize their value and the value of others. I take pride in serving all types of people, from all walks of life. For myself, therapy has been both transformative and healing. My hope is that for those of you who enter into this sacred work, you will experience this as well.
