About My Clients
We can find what stands in the way of your happiness, whether it's relationship issues, depression, trauma/PTSD, stress, self-esteem, and move past them together. Therapy can be customized to fit your preferences. Some just need space to talk and unpack things, while others prefer hands on homework activities. I like to make therapy flexible to fit the demands of your life.
My Background and Approach
We will use an integrated approach and an holistic lens because mental health is not just psychological, but can also be physical, spiritual, and social as well. We might use CBT to focus on how thoughts and mood are connected and shift your perspective to ease your suffering. I teach DBT skills to help with many issues, including anger, addiction, anxiety, self-harm, and personal and professional relationships. We may use a relational lens to explore which relational patterns you have that are helpful and which might be hurting you. I also often use mindfulness, which can help you notice how symptoms or problems impact your body and mind. It can also be used to reduce anxious thoughts and give your nervous system (kind of like your internal control panel for stress, anger, fight, flight, freeze etc.) time to rest, which is important for healing from stress, anxiety, or trauma.
