About My Clients
I am deeply committed to supporting queer, questioning, and gender-expansive young adults and adolecents, as well as neurodivergent clients navigating anxiety and depression. I have a firsthand understanding of how identity, neurodiversity, and major life transitions can affect well-being. Whether the work involves building personalized goals or developing stronger self-advocacy skills, I strive to empower clients to navigate life’s changes with confidence and agency.
My Background and Approach
My practice is built on the belief that everyone possesses an inherent resilience that can be unlocked with the right support. I bring a perspective to therapy that honors the intersection of identity, creativity, and wellness. I tailor my approach to each client’s specific needs by drawing from a variety of evidence-based tools and inclusive frameworks. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe challenging thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build practical skills for emotional regulation and distress tolerance. This technical foundation is enriched by queer and feminist theories, which help me and my clients explore how social systems and identity impact mental health. Additionally, I incorporate expressive art therapy, using artistic storytelling to encourage self-expression when traditional talk therapy might feel limited. My primary goal is to provide a warm, ethical, and inclusive space where every client feels truly seen and supported.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My clinical work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches, shaped by extensive experience supporting young adults and late adolescents through everything from brief, solution-focused sessions to complex crisis situations.
