About My Clients
Navigating challenges can derail goals, plague self-esteem, hurt relationships, leave us feeling lost, etc. It's vital to me that the therapist-client relationship is bound with holding space for growth, thoughtful reflection, genuine encouragement, and authenticity. Whether you've been experiencing anxiety, conflicts with others, exploring improved ways to manage emotional reactivity, learning to feel better in your body, and more - there's room for enjoyment and feeling proud of yourself!
My Approach to Helping
I currently own and operate my own my private practice. I've worked with children, teens, and adults of all backgrounds. I approach clients from a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective to enhance my clients' feelings of trust, sense of safety, confidence, and empathy. My work is grounded in CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy). I am also EMDR-trained, so I am very familiar with emotional impact on the body and nervous system (not currently practicing EMDR at this time). I am of the perspective that everyone can benefit from therapy (literally, anyone!)...whether that be to work on specific problems, or to just be proactive by having a consistent outlet for self-growth.
Why I Became a Therapist
I became a therapist because I believe that it's life-changing (and honestly, life-saving for many) to provide others a platform to talk about their lives and to effectively reflect/explore feelings and thoughts without judgement. Being able to contribute to and witness someone's life-enhancing personal growth will always be an honored privilege I am grateful to have. *** Currently have a Waitlist.
