I enjoy working with adolescents and adults in need of support with depression, stress and/or trauma. I work towards helping clients identify their individual needs and ways that their lifestyles may not be aligned with those needs. I have clinical interest in working with marginalized and underserved populations. Additionally, I am passionate about working with immigrant populations and provide immigration evaluation services.
My Background and Approach
I work from a health psychology perspective which means that I address mental health concerns within the context of other aspects of health including but not limited to development, stress management, physical illness, nutrition, sleep, physical activity, and spirituality where appropriate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand how difficult it can be to manage your health, especially during a time of great pain and uncertainty. I really take the time to create a safe space that considers your life experiences, goals and your strengths to help facilitate a healthier mind and body connection. I also hold space for and invite conversations about how systemic and cultural factors impact your presenting concerns. I do not believe that counseling services should be considered a "luxury.” Please feel free to reach out. I would love to collaborate with you.
