About My Clients
What does "balance" & "wellness" look like, feel like & mean to you? Our own versions of "balance" fluctuate over time & I aim to normalize that! At times we may need guidance in redefining "balance" and/or "wellness" as we work on relationships, experience life transitions, process intergenerational trauma, work on radically accepting recurring patterns, navigate anxiety, embrace adolescence/adulthood, etc. My ultimate goal is to nonjudgmentally support your needs throughout this process.
My Background and Approach
My experience working with adolescents, adults, and families stems from working in various residential, partial hospitalization, and IOP treatment facilities. My specialties include anxiety, relationships, eating disorders/disordered eating, and personality disorders. I also specialize in working with the adolescent & young adult populations, addressing prominent factors which may arise during these particular phases of life, such as academic pressures, life transitions, peer & parent conflict, understanding emotions, and overall exploration of evolving identities, interests and goals. I completed the Foundational DBT Training through Behavioral Tech, practicing from a DBT-informed approach. I offer individual DBT skills coaching sessions; coaching sessions focus on learning the DBT skills & discussing individualized application. I also have experience collaborating with individuals who work in the social media space and the entertainment industry.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice from an informed-DBT approach, and I believe flexibility is an essential part of the therapeutic process; I will draw from other therapeutic modalities (within my scope of competence) to support your needs, interests, and preferred learning style. I have a gentle and direct approach, prioritizing feedback and emotional safety. I believe in promoting a two-way conversation, where no topic is off limits or taboo. Collaboration, curiosity, genuineness, adaptability, creativity, and humor are elements that I believe are integral to the therapeutic relationship. I offer in-person sessions in Studio City, CA and online sessions for residents of California and Florida.
