About My Clients
I have extensive experience working with individuals and couples who are dealing with mental health issues, communication difficulties, infidelity, family related distress, separation, divorce, and relationships issues. My purpose is to give support, and understanding. I work to help clients improve their communication, encourage healthy coping behaviors and reduce the distress and discomfort that brought them into counseling, so they can continue on their personal path of growth.
My Background and Approach
I approach therapy with thoughtfulness and practicality. I believe the therapeutic alliance should always be safe, supportive, and collaborative. In my practice, I work with people from all walks of life. From different racial, economic, sexual, religious and gender backgrounds. I believe everyone has a right to be heard and understood. I work in-depth with my clients to help bridge the communication gap, increase effective communication skills, and reduce combative and reactionary conversations and behaviors in order to promote dialogue and build trust and respect in relationships. I am passionate about helping people relieve the stress and discomfort they are living with, so they can lead more full and abundant lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a person-centered therapist I encourage my clients to express their thoughts, feelings, needs and wants. I believe healing and growth takes place when clients feel comfortable speaking their truth and having the space to decide what they need and want in their lives. Therapy should always feel safe, collaborative and progress at the client’s pace. My hope for all my clients is for them not only to achieve their goals, but also to leave therapy feeling stronger, more self assured, and hopeful about their relationships and their future.
