My Background and Approach
I am bilingual, focusing on high-intensity trauma, neurodivergence, and First-Generation pressures. My approach is grounded and direct, offering a practical toolkit designed to address the root of the struggle. By utilizing EMDR, we target the "replay button" of past trauma, working to help you stop reacting to old wounds. I incorporate DBT as a manual for navigating emotional crises, providing the regulation skills needed to stay grounded. Additionally, we use Family Systems to help you and your loved ones navigate deep-seated conflict, repair communication, and work toward healthy leadership in the home. I aim to stay steady in the trenches of this heavy work with you, offering a supportive structure designed to hold under pressure. Whether we work in English, Spanish, or a fluid mix of both, we focus entirely on the reality of your experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I focus on individuals and families who don't always "fit" in traditional therapy. For First-Generation and Bilingual families, we navigate the guilt of setting boundaries and the friction between traditional roots and modern identity, aiming to help you lead without losing your family connection. For neurodivergent individuals of all ages, we address the sensory overload, behavioral conflict, and hidden burnout that others often mistake for character flaws.
