About My Clients
My training has focused on trauma-informed approaches in treating ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders and anxiety. I've helped my clients across the lifespan achieve their wellness goals. My clients come from diverse backgrounds and identities and find therapy with me as an affirming and supportive space to achieve their life goals.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in research supported therapeutic modalities and approaches such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT), and internal family systems (IFS). We collaborate on finding what fits best for you to achieve your wellness goals. Healing from trauma involves establishing safety, learning your triggers and how to soothe them, and creating awareness and meaning in the present to thrive. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all experience traumatic experiences in our lifetimes, directly or indirectly. Seeking therapeutic support can help us navigate our internal emotional world with compassion and caring so we can better navigate the world around us. Growing up in Washington, DC I saw and experienced within my family how generational trauma from poverty and racism made it difficult for families within our communities to thrive. That is why my approach to therapy is trauma informed and rooted in social justice and cultural humility. We all have the power within us to heal, connect, and build meaningful lives.
