About My Clients

Do you experience generational and childhood trauma, cultural expectations that don’t always align with societal norms, low self-worth and people pleasing behaviors? Do you want to figure out the root cause of your anxiety of your anxiety or depression and heal your hurt inner child? Unresolved childhood trauma and attachment issues are root causes that make us who we are - but that doesn’t mean we can’t work to change those maladaptive patterns you learned growing up…

My Background and Approach

As a first generation Asian American with immigrant parents, I recognize the complexities of being a minority, navigating intersectionality, and understanding your cultural identity. I am a trauma-informed, client-centered therapist and will work with you to meet you where you are. I'll challenge and support you to identify triggers, behaviors, and feelings connected to past relationships or experiences in order to change the patterns that may hinder you from being your best self. I believe in the idea that lived experiences often continue to live in your body and small everyday triggers bring about sudden, maladaptive behaviors that may impact you and your relationships. I strongly believe that identifying the childhood/generational trauma and attachment styles that have caused you pain in the past is the first step in the healing process. Putting awareness and words to your feelings helps you find growth and change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a non-judgmental Asian American therapist, I am here to support you in your growth and find ways for you to be the best version of yourself. As an Asian American female with immigrant parents, navigating being a minority, assimilating into society and finding my cultural identity was a difficult time in my life. Painful or complicated situations in your life can feel better, even though it takes hard work. Being here is the first step in the healing process and I am proud of you for venturing into this adventure of finding inner peace. My specialty is trauma-informed therapy working with children, teens, adults and families to explore difficult familial and generational dynamics. My passion is working with Asians and POC who are struggling with complicated and painful family dynamics, anger and resentment.
