My training in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy allows me to work with anxiety not just from a cognitive approach, but one that also incorporates the body (soma) on the nervous system level, which is often impacted by & integral to experiences of anxiety. Commonly referred to as a 'bottom up' approaches, somatic interventions facilitate attention and exploration in the here-and-now during sessions and can be highly experiential and deeply transformative.

My clinical internship was spent with Hospice of Santa Cruz County where I worked with grievers from age 7 to 80. I have supported people through many types of death, those that are sudden (accidents, suicide, homicide, overdose) as well as those that are expected (long-term illness, death with dignity, hospice care). I honor the profound, individualized impact death (& other types of loss) has on a person's life and take seriously the opportunity to support you through it all.

I have used my training in the Innate Somatic Intelligence ™ Trauma Therapy Approach to work with Veterans of the U.S. Military; many who suffer from PTSD, as well as individuals who have faced different types of trauma, including relational and developmental trauma, physical trauma, and collective and systemic trauma.

I have completed both comprehensive trainings offered by the Hakomi Institute of California. I maintain relationships with Hakomi mentors & colleagues for continued professional development.

I received my MA in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
