About My Clients

My clients are deeply inquisitive, thoughtful, striving and incredibly capable-though they may experience self-doubt. Many experience emotions intensely, especially anxiety, and worry they are too much, or not enough. They are often hard on themselves, struggle with self compassion and feel guilty resting. They tend to be empathic, putting others’ needs above their own. They juggle many responsibilities and feel burnt-out or stressed. They often seek to gain clarity, purpose and ease in life.

My Background and Approach

As a holistic therapist, I weave art therapy, somatic, mindfulness approaches and evidence-based therapies to empower holistic healing of mind, body, & spirit. I work with women, teen girls and non-binary folks to enhance self awareness, to re-write limiting beliefs to be empowering, and to unapologetically prioritize their needs. My clients often learn take on risks with courage and less worry, to slow down and be present without guilt, and to celebrate their accomplishments- instead of jumping to the next thing to do or improve. I see my role as a guide, to help my clients' connect to their inner-knowing and truth. Past clients have described me as calm, encouraging, and thoughtful and my style is conversational and collaborative. My approach is informed by how culture, social contexts, and embedded oppressive systems impact client’s lived experiences and wellness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing can be an empowering, affirming and even joyful process of transformation, that painful contraction often precedes expansion, and that we are all capable of healing ourselves. Here are values that may guide our work together: Curiosity & Courage: It takes curiosity & bravery to let go of unhelpful habits and beliefs that no longer serve us-and to take the steps necessary to change. Shining a light on all parts of ourselves requires nonjudgmental exploration. Presence & Compassion: We can shift our relationships to difficult experiences and feelings through becoming aware of our moment-to-moment experience. Offering ourselves compassion and acceptance by tending lovingly to wounded parts, giving ourselves grace can promote profound healing. Rest & Reveling: We can gain insight in pausing unapologetically, peace in slowing down without guilt, and pleasure in reveling in joyful experiences. In quiet, we may also hear our own longings and voice.
