About My Clients
Individuals working with me seek to feel confident applying new and improved coping and communication skills developed in our sessions into their lives. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Trauma Based-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TB-CBT) to counsel children, adolescents, adults, families, & couples working with diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress, trauma/abuse (physical & sexual), domestic violence, spontaneous grief /loss, relationship difficulties, and parenting.
My Background and Approach
I have certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Based-CBT. I have a specialization in Counseling for Child and Adolescents and have expanded into family systems. I'm an OCD specialist who uses Exposure Response Prevention.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Anna Freud stated, "Creative minds have always been known to survive any kind of bad training" and Laura Ingalls Wilder’s stated that, "A good laugh overcomes more difficulties and dissipates more dark clouds than any other one thing". Counseling with me provides individuals with a sense that they can move beyond whatever barriers they are facing.
