About My Clients
I believe in supporting clients by "walking" alongside them as they identify and work towards their goals. I start with an introductory session where you have the opportunity to share your story and experiences. If you don't know what your goals are yet, that's okay! We'll figure it out together. I love learning from children, teens, and their families throughout our work. It's important to me to work as partners with my clients through respect and open communication.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the behavioral health field for over 7 years, working primarily with youth that have experienced trauma and their families to improve communication, reduce conflicts in the home, and rebuild relationships. My Master of Social Work focused on Appalachian culture and the unique challenges presented to those in rural communities. For the past four years, my focus shifted to female clients aged 11-18 struggling with anxiety, depression, and self-harm. I specialize in working with teens and youth experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and trauma.
