About My Clients
I enjoy working with a range of adult clients, from those of you that struggle with life changes and transitions, to excessive worries, racing thoughts, and anxieties, and uncertainty with life direction. Those of you that want to explore themes in your life, or your relationship with alcohol or other drugs. I also work with you on relationship exploration, establishing boundaries, identifying what relationships give you purpose.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Carolina University in 2020. From there I became both a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate in the state of North Carolina. I have found myself pulled to exploring client values, and how to live more authentically by them (ACT), identifying patterns of faulty thinking, and challenging you around those thoughts and beliefs, as well as brainspotting, among others. If you are thinking to yourself, "I don't even know what that means." That is okay, that is not necessary for us to work together. Another aspect I find meaningful is integrating pop culture, or your interests through music, television, and movies. How we connect to songs or characters can be hella informative, and normalizing for our experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that healing is possible, and more easily done when we do not have to go it alone. I feel that genuine connection is powerful, and facilitative of growth, and healing. While I know it is uncomfortable to get here, there is strength and power in continuing to push forward to determine the best way to take care of yourself, and to let the authentic version of you shine.
