About My Clients

Are YOU feeling heard? My philosophy is rooted in Cheryl Richardson’s quote that “people start to heal the moment they feel heard” and my professional goal is to empower adults and teens to move from “surviving to thriving.” Using a holistic, trauma-informed approach, I've successfully supported teens and adults to acknowledge, navigate through and overcome negative patterns of thought and behavior that often lead to depression, anxiety, social isolation, generational trauma and low self esteem.

My Background and Approach

I value independence/freedom, personal growth, individuality and equality. In late adolescence, I participated in multiple impactful volunteer opportunities and spent extensive time in Mexico volunteering at a center for addicted youth. This experience sparked my passion for diverse cultures and access to quality mental health. I earned my B.S in Community/International Development in 2015 along with my M.A in School Counseling in 2018. Since then, I've worked to promote mental health, belongingness for all, impactful education and social justice awareness as a School Counselor (K-12). I completed my Certificate in Mental Health Counseling in 2020 and have been successfully counseling adults struggling with depression, anxiety, generational trauma, life transitions, grief/loss, anger management and identity development in a clinical setting.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Through my own professional and personal experiences, I strongly believe that traumatic experiences, chronic stress, family dynamics and social isolation often impact our ability to regulate emotions as well as our ability to cope with everyday stressors later in life. Acknowledging what you've been through, identifying your triggers and working towards healing is often the key to breaking a cycle that no longer serves you. I understand the courage and vulnerability it takes to start (or continue) your mental health journey-- and I know the time spent considering what therapist is right for you can be overwhelming. Compassion and a genuine connection is key! Give me a call to chat about how I can meet your needs. Looking forward to speaking with you!
