Through the relationship built during the counseling process, you can gain the skills and support needed to regain hope, more fully accept yourself, and improve your mental health symptoms and current relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a genuine and empathic therapist and would like to help you work through your mental health symptoms and current life stressors. I believe it's important to offer you emotional validation and support as well as assisting you to gain insight and develop new coping skills. I use a combination of evidence based therapies including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential therapy, Schema therapy, Energy psychology, culturally sensitive, and attachment based therapies. I would be honored to be your listening ear and I want you to feel heard and validated no matter what you are going through or experiencing today. Your story is important.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all shaped through our experiences and attachments that begin in childhood. During childhood and throughout our lives, we develop beliefs about our self and the world based on interaction with our attachment figures and relationships. Sometimes these beliefs can be maladaptive and negatively impact our current lives, relationships, moods, and emotional states. Through the relationship built during the counseling process, clients can learn to more fully accept themselves and challenge their maladaptive thoughts and beliefs. Consequently, they can feel symptom improvement and a sense of emotional freedom and healing. I am passionate about helping my clients during this process and enjoy supporting them on this journey called life.
