About My Clients

Are you someone that others see as successful, yet inside you feel like you're falling apart? Not even sure who you are anymore? Now that the kids are older, you struggle to find your identity outside of "mom" or "dad." Maybe you and your partner have drifted, which has led to questioning your sexuality. Perhaps you've seen some information about ADHD and/or autism in adults and noticed that you heavily relate, enough that they could be describing you.

My Background and Approach

So many times in this world we are met with "toxic positivity." You know, things like "look on the bright side," "things could be worse," or even "just get over it!" I firmly believe statements like these can be shaming and harmful. We will work together first and foremost on you having a space to express your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I'll give you tools to help you manage all the garbage that comes with daily life. Whether that's figuring out your identity, managing your stress as a parent, coming up with a career change, or the struggles of a disconnected yet overly connected world, you can get to a place where you are firm in who you are and able to take what life throws at you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that, despite what society tells you, it's ok to be sad about sad things. One of the things that is missing from most, if not all, of our relationships, is the ability to be completely open and vulnerable. I know what it's like to be confused about all parts of your identity, even into your 30s and 40s. I've worked on this tremendously through my own therapy, and I want others to find the same clarity that I have. I am a late-coming member to the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as a late diagnosed ADHDer. Neurodivergence is not something to be "fixed," and your gender (and sexuality) is what you say it is. I believe in the importance of looking at intersectionality (looking at all identities, rather than just race/sexuality/gender, etc.) when working on any type of life stressors or relationships. And I believe that you are the expert on you. I'd love to talk more about working together, so send me a message and we can set up a free consultation.
