If your child suffers from anxiety, depression, or challenging behaviors, or has experienced a traumatic event, it may be hard for you and your child to get through the day. You may feel helpless and worried about your child’s future. You may feel you can’t be the parent you want to be because it’s a battle just to get through daily activities.
My Background and Approach
I have been honored to work with children and families for more than 15 years. With individual play therapy, I help children learn how to handle their intense feelings and improve their relationships with their families and their friends. I also offer cognitive behavioral therapy for older children who prefer to talk about their feelings directly. I regularly communicate with caregivers and often include you in treatment, because you are the most important person in your child’s life. Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is an intensive coaching program that teaches parents a blend of play therapy techniques and discipline strategies. You will strengthen your bond with your child, improve your child’s self-esteem, help them to follow directions and improve their social skills. I also offer individual therapy for adults, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques.
