About My Clients
Many of my clients have tried therapy before and found that coping skills and worksheets are not enough. If that is you, we can work towards something more focused on YOU and your story rather than something cookie-cutter. I specialize in LGBTQ teens and young adults with depression, parents struggling to understand their child, and children of immigrants.
My Background and Approach
I attended San Francisco State University for graduate training and have since worked in residentials, college campuses, and hospital settings. I take a psychodynamic and relational approach, meaning our sessions are focused on your relationships with your community, the relationship we share in session, and how these inform your relationship with yourself. I also integrate skills-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients find actionable steps to find a more meaningful way of living.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer 2nd-gen POC, I strongly value bringing social justice into my work. Our sessions will include conversations about culture, identity, systems of oppression and privilege. I also recognize how our current events impact our mental health and am excited to provide space for these challenging conversations.
