About My Clients
I see all kinds of people - children as young as 4 all the way to elders who are approaching end of life. I relish working with all kinds of people, but at least half my practice are children and teens who relish the idea of creating art in their own personal way as a way of healing. Many of my clients choose to see me every other week, but the most successful clients I have are those who make therapy a consistent priority. In my sessions, we tell stories, laugh, cry and learn from one another.
My Background and Approach
I allow individuals to see themselves with compassion and art. I incorporate mindfulness, laughter, humility, life experience and a sense of artistic intelligence, so that clients can bring a centered aliveness to their lives. In the face of stress, they rise to become powerful and resilient. I relish working with anyone committed to their own growth. I work with communication and relationship issues, patterns, depression, trauma, PTSD and family issues. Together we will explore what's right for you. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I come from a progressive, spiritual and academic-based background where I was encouraged to do my own research, trust my intuition and seek out my own healing. The challenging aspect was to learn how to listen to stillness, trust my community and give up control. I support women's rights, BLM, LGBTQ+ and more because everyone of us has earned the right to sit at the table. It's no easy job being human, especially now. I also spend a fair amount of time working with the educational community, teaching art classes, doing murals, masks and have worked with Women's Wisdom Art and Sacramento Food Bank and local Waldorf schools as a volunteer art teacher. And lastly, I am a big believer in the power of animals as sources of emotional support for their humans. More than a few clients love bringing in their pets to session.
