About My Clients
I work with high-achieving women navigating OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, and people pleasing. Many come in having had therapy before that was not specific enough. Some are only now learning that what they have been living with is OCD, after years of being misdiagnosed or misunderstood. I also work with women navigating imposter syndrome, panic, phobias, and emetophobia. My clients are professionals, entrepreneurs, and graduate students who are done managing and ready to actually change.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in ERP and ACT, the most effective treatments for OCD and anxiety. ERP works because it teaches your brain through experience, not insight, that you can feel anxious and still be safe. ACT changes your relationship to anxious thoughts entirely, making them background noise rather than something you have to act on. Together they do not just reduce symptoms. They change your relationship to anxiety entirely. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship specifically in OCD treatment and hold BTTI certification through the International OCD Foundation, one of the most rigorous training pathways for OCD specialists. I am one of a small number of psychologists in New York City with this level of specialized OCD training. I remember what you said three sessions ago and I will connect it to what you are saying today. We identify your specific anxiety loop, build the skills to sit with uncertainty, and start making decisions from your values instead of your anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I practice what I ask of my clients. I moved to New York City intentionally, starting over at an age when I was supposed to settle down, because I did not want to play small. I believe everyone deserves to live a life that is authentically theirs, and that anxiety and OCD are not who you are. I work primarily with women and women-identifying clients. I am proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community and I am committed to anti-racism, social justice, and inclusive care. I work with clients across all religious backgrounds. I specialize in OCD presentations that intersect with faith and culture, including scrupulosity OCD, responsibility OCD, and moral OCD. I believe you are more capable than your anxiety has let you believe. Therapy with me is not a place to just process feelings. It is a place to build skills, interrupt patterns, and start living a life that is actually yours.
