I provide trauma informed care to marginalized folks who want to heal through a liberation-oriented lens. There's nothing wrong with you, there are factors at play that keep you from discovering your own truth and power. Therapy helps you find those factors and rewrite your story so that it fits YOU. I'm never going to tell you "the right way" to be; it's my job to understand who you are, who you're trying to become and help you get there in a way that honors all parts of you.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is one of collaboration, connection, trust, & respect. As a team, we’ll address & overcome the barriers blocking you from living the life you deserve. I help Black and Biracial women as well as ALL marginalized folks conquer anxiety, depression, trauma, throughout all life transitions in order to lead a life that is more authentic and fulfilling. As a certified Mindfulness Educator trained in Brainspotting, I believe in incorporating mindfulness practice into our therapeutic work to strengthen your ability to remain present & mindful throughout your journey, both in therapy & beyond. The goal is not just to survive, but to thrive! In our work together, I will never insist I know the best way, but rather walk beside you, providing support & care while you discover your own true path to balance & fulfillment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Personally, I'm a left leaning Biracial Black therapist who strives to deconstruct systems of oppression, one client at a time. I'm vehemently anti-ICE, pro Black, and safe for all who have experienced harm in the face of oppression. In my spare time, I'm constantly learning, educating others, and finding new and creative ways to remain involved in liberation movements.
