About My Clients
As an adult child of an addicted or alcoholic parent, you know what it's like to carry more than most people can see. Growing up, your caregivers may have been emotionally unavailable, abusive, or made you feel that your sensitivity was a burden. Because of these early experiences, many of us learn to rely on adaptive strategies like people pleasing, perfectionism, and over-functioning in relationships to help us manage overwhelming emotions.
My Background and Approach
Over time, though, these strategies can keep us stuck in painful patterns that move us further away from the peace, connection, and healing we so desire. Deep down, you may be longing for something different: the ability to meet yourself with the same curiosity, care, and compassion you so readily offer others. As a childhood trauma survivor myself, I understand how deeply developmental and familial experiences can affect how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. Your healing matters, and you don’t have to it alone. As someone who has walked a similar path, it would be my honor to support you on your healing journey. If my profile resonates with you, please message me to book a free 15-minute consultation, ask questions, and schedule your first appointment. I hope to hear from you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a life-long advocate for systems reform, humanism, and universal healthcare & childcare, I view clients through a holistic lens that takes into account their unique histories, systemic experiences, familial relationships, personal values, and unique neurobiology. I believe many of us suffer due to social, systemic, and familial expectations that have, over time, forced us to hide, alter, or shame parts of our most authentic selves. Outside of the therapy room, you can find me trying to keep up with Love Island episodes, sipping espresso at my neighborhood coffee shop, cooking, and being silly with friends and chosen family.
