About My Clients
You've been carrying a lot—anxiety that keeps you on edge, life transitions that leave you feeling stuck, or relationship challenges where you feel unheard or disconnected. You want things to feel lighter and more manageable and are ready to explore what’s beneath the surface. You’re seeking a safe, supportive space to gain insight, learn coping tools, and feel more grounded and aligned in your life.
My Background and Approach
I've been in the social work field since 2017. Before stepping into therapy, I was a 5th-grade teacher at a Title I school in San Antonio, where I discovered my passion for supporting people—celebrating their goals, holding space for their heaviest moments, and advocating for social justice. My experiences in the classroom inspired me to pursue a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, and to shift my focus from education to mental health and counseling. After graduation, I served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, where I strengthened my Spanish, broadened my cultural awareness, and built meaningful community connections. These experiences continue to inform the way I work with clients: with respect, humility, and a commitment to understanding each individual’s unique experiences. I practice from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed lens, holding space for your identities, relationships, and the systems that shape your day-to-day life.
