About My Clients
I work with individuals, families and couples that may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and discuss their concerns in a compassionate and empathetic way to ensure the space feels safe. It is important to me that I am able to create a safe and judgment-free environment for my clients to explore their challenges and emotions. I prioritize a client-centered approach to therapy.
My Background and Approach
Anxiety, panic, hopelessness, and depression often press hard on wounds we've carried for a long time. Yet when we take time to slow down, I think you'll find not only understanding, but a new way of managing difficult feelings. This is a journey that I would to walk with you on. My goal is for you to walk out of our first session with with a sigh of relief and feeling of hope, because you feel a bit more clear about the steps ahead, and how I can help. Let's take that first step today.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every individual has the right to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life, and that therapy can help to facilitate growth and change towards reaching that goal. I'm committed to creating a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where individuals feel safe exploring their challenges and emotions. I also believe in treating every person with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or socioeconomic status. As a therapist, it's my responsibility to be culturally informed and aware of how these different identities and social contexts may impact an individual's mental health and life experiences. Another personal belief I hold is that self-care is essential to well-being, and everyone has unique self-care needs that help to support them on their journey. I encourage my clients to explore what self-care practices work for them and work everyday to incorporate that new practice.
