About My Clients
I often work with adults, teenagers and couples who struggle with any of the following challenges; self-esteem, trauma, grief, substance use, depression, and anxiety. I recognize that there are many paths to the same destination, and I make sure we are on the path that feels right for you. I want to get to know you and understand from your perspective about the world you live in.
My Background and Approach
I use an attachment and strength based perspective. I have a down to earth and warm approach. If you are looking for someone that will be collaborative, creative, and interactive, then I may be a good fit. I strive to be feedback informed to help ensure we are on the path you are seeking at a pace that feels right. I use a variety of modalities and techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Emotionally Focused Therapy in sessions. I often help individuals gain insight into their behaviors while also identifying tangible exercises and skills that can be used outside of the sessions when needed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a passion for ending mental health stigma and ensuring people can access care when they need it. I believe in harm reduction and meeting people where they are at. I believe in ensuring access to longer term maternal mental health care.
