About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals through art therapy coping with grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. I believe that individuals of all ages experience grief. You are the expert of your grief journey and I strive to be there to companion you along the way. While we cannot make grief go away, I will hold space for what comes up for you as you navigate life. Grief ebbs and flows and all feelings are welcome here.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). I specialize in working with individuals through art therapy coping with grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. I have experience supporting children and families at Willow House as the Program Director, at JourneyCare hospice as their Bereavement Counselor and Children's Grief Coordinator, and supporting children and teens in an inpatient children's behavioral health hospital as an Art Therapist. With this experience I have been able to hold support for those who have lost someone to suicide, traumatic loss, terminal illness, and sudden death.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people have the right to grieve, no matter the loss you are experiencing. I want to let the community know that it is okay and necessary to grieve! We grieve because we love. I work to companion you along your grief journey, to be a listening ear and supportive art therapist while you explore your connection to the person that has died or thing that has been lost. As an art therapist, any art medium and creative outlet is welcome in session. I personally enjoy painting, collaging, and writing. I come into the bereavement field with my own personal loss of my mom and this has shaped my life and the way I view the world. I want to support people as a way to honor my own grief. I promise to honor you grief in any way that you need.
