We often move through life quickly, taking little time to slow down and reflect. However, without taking time to process our experiences, we may never unpack all the distress we carry every day. I firmly believe that changing this pattern doesn’t happen on its own, and that processing allows us to uncover the path to long-lasting positive change. My goal is to create a dedicated, relaxed space for you to slow down and address the stressors that are negatively impacting your life.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is client-focused and involves building a trusting relationship, in which we can explore the core issues that have brought you to therapy. I invite you to bring in whatever you have and process it at your own pace, to help you feel as comfortable celebrating highlights as you are doing challenging work. Together, we will work to process relevant experiences before discussing practical strategies that can be built upon to achieve your goals. I have hundreds of hours of experience helping teens, adults, and couples process their experiences and take practical steps towards their goals. During our initial sessions, I like to get a sense of the issues bringing you to therapy and the experiences that have shaped your journey. From there, we'll work to create a plan with practical steps towards your goals. My clients typically see improvements within the first month.
