About My Clients
I work with a wide range of clients and I specialize in supporting clients navigating identity development, relationship and intimacy challenges, trauma, neurodivergence, and experiences related to shame, internalized oppression, and belonging. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and relationships. My work is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and affirming- integrating EMDR, IFS, relational and somatic approaches.
My Background and Approach
I offer a collaborative, holistic, hands-on approach to therapy and strive to help clients feel whole, integrated, and deeply connected to themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. My training includes a wide range of therapy models, and I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs. I work from a trauma-informed, client-centered, experiential lens, often incorporating EFT, Gottman, sex therapy, EMDR, structural therapy, experiential therapy, IFS, mindfulness, somatic techniques. I have a Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle and a Master of Arts in Applied Quantitative Research from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology & Gender/Sexuality from Georgia State University. I am an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist. I am also EMDR trained and Level 1 & 2 Gottman Couples Therapy Certified with specialized training in attachment, consent, sexual avoidance cycles, sexual diversity, and somatic therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves to feel whole, integrated, and deeply connected to themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. This world can be immensely stressful, and I believe that a calm mind, body, and relationship with others is critical in order to usher relief, joy, and pleasure into our lives and to help balance the struggles of daily life. I also believe that we are all innately resilient; we have so much capacity to adapt, heal, and move forward in our lives. I recognize that it takes a lot of courage and effort to start therapy. I aim to provide a space for you to feel genuinely heard, understood, and seen – no matter what you are dealing with. I also know that you are the expert of your own life. I am here to help you navigate your current challenges.
