About My Clients
I typically work with individuals 18 and older, though I occasionally make exceptions for trans youth looking for an affirming provider. I have specific training & specialize in the following populations: eating disorders, complex trauma, trans* / GNC , trans*/GNC individuals with eating disorders, and substance use.
My Background and Approach
I am a therapist who approaches treatment from a informed perspective. I utilize a combination of Trauma Resiliency Model, DBT, CBT, Internal Family Systems, Radically Open DBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy,, among others, in session with clients. I work with people to change thoughts and behaviors in a way that is sustainable in the long term. I work to help people develop tangible, accessible skills for coping on a daily basis. I practice using the theoretical perspective of Health at Every Size (HAES).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I fundamentally believe that people try to make the best decision for themselves as they are able, taking into account oppressive ideologies, broken healthcare systems, wealth disparity, and discrimination. I am an active member of several professional organizations, including the Clinical Social Work Association.
