About My Clients
I support people facing some of life's most difficult realities: illness, caregiving, grief, medical trauma, uncertainty, aging and major life transitions. Many are thoughtful, caring individuals who have spent years supporting others while carrying significant responsibilities themselves. They may be living with cancer, chronic illness, or an unclear medical condition, caring for a loved one, or navigating burnout, loss, loneliness, and questions about how to live now that life looks different.
My Background and Approach
I understand that illness affects far more than the body. There are difficult emotions, changing circumstances, and many forms of grief that emerge. Hope, gratitude, fear, and anger can all exist side by side. I help people understand and process these experiences of the body and mind, supporting insight, regulation, and healing. In therapy with me, you'll find an existential and humanistic approach, utilizing mindfulness, somatic and experiential techniques when helpful. Together, we create space and bolster resilience in the face of the many complexities that arise when life does not unfold as expected.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I didn't choose grief, illness, caregiving, and end-of-life work. I've lived close to these realities for much of my life, studied them professionally, and built practices that help people navigate them. My work is informed by years of personal and professional experience alongside illness, caregiving, and loss, including work in a hospital long-term care setting. I also contain a depth of training in internal arts, including 15 years in Shaolin Kung fu, qigong, and tai chi, and over 20 years in yoga and meditation. I have well of deep tradition upon which I draw for somatic and experiential integrations into therapy.
