My Background and Approach
Increasingly inspired by the mental health needs of friends and colleagues as an advertiser turned teacher, Lauren shifted focus back to her psychology roots and earned a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from USC. From there, Lauren received training at Kaiser Permanente Watts Counseling Center, followed by years of supervised group practice experience at Insight Psychotherapy Group. Since 2022, Lauren transitioned into her own private practice. Through one:one relationship-building, hands-on supervision from experienced clinicians, and comprehensive training, she has developed and continues to hone skills and strategies to assist clients with a variety of concerns, including CBT for depression, Mindfulness for anxiety, EF skills for ADHD, Gottman-inspired techniques for relationship conflicts, trauma-informed care and EMDR for PTSD, and culturally-responsive competence for honoring/amplifying the uniqueness of each client.
