About My Clients
It’s easier for you to take care of everyone else instead of prioritize your own needs. You are exhausted and resentful trying to be all of the things to all of the people. You are burnt out and there is too much on your plate. Whether you are drowning in motherhood, struggling with anxiety, feeling burdened by trauma, or a woman looking for connection to better understand yourself, I am here to support and empower you.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker and proud owner of an expensive graduate degree from the University of Michigan. I have spent the last decade providing mental health support, advocacy, and empowerment to women in all stages of life. As a registered yoga teacher, I believe in the many benefits of a strong mind-body connection. I understand the importance of a strong, genuine therapeutic relationship in order to feel comfortable sharing parts of yourself that you might not reveal to anyone else. I recognize my clients as individuals and tailor treatment to meet each person’s needs and preferences. Technically speaking, I work from a client centered, strengths based approach and have advanced perinatal training through Postpartum Support International. I use techniques from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing and incorporate expressive art activities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone has strengths and the ability to create meaningful change in their lives. Therapy can provide the opportunity to acknowledge and overcome obstacles in order for necessary, life-changing growth to occur. Healing is a deeply personal, intimate process, and I am honored to be a part of yours. While working together, you will achieve your goals, learn and use coping skills, receive the support you deserve, and allow yourself a break from being every thing for everyone else.
