About My Clients
At the beginning of our stories, we have limited control and depend on the adults in our lives. Our worldview and understanding of behaviors are influenced by our interactions throughout development. As we age, we strive to gain independence, establish life goals, and form the groundwork for our futures. Managing stress, problem-solving ways to endure, and experiencing unwanted moments of shame, regret, betrayal, and fear can be exhausting and, sometimes, create hope for the future.
My Background and Approach
Using a neurodevelopmental approach, we create a timeline of events in our lives that connect to our current symptoms. Using a trauma-informed approach, we can work together to process and heal from these experiences that we may work hard to avoid. Along the way, we will share, practice and strengthen skills to manage daily symptoms. Obtained certification and completion of training of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics Phase 1 in 2022. Completed training (2021) and finishing certification for EMDR pending start of 2024. Continued training in areas of Trauma Focused CBT; Dialectical Behavior (DBT); Motivational Interviewing; Person-Centered; Person-Centered; Sandplay; Strength-Based; Positive Psychology, etc.
