I work with attachment through a variety of phases: exploring patterns that have and have not worked, understanding unmet needs and wants, passivity versus activity, and nervous system regulation. Incorporating skills that develop empathy, self-compassion, and patience is my method to unlearning unhelpful behaviors and relearning healthier behaviors and patterns.

Attachment is the foundation of not only our sense of identity, but also the ability to regulate our nervous system. Ideally, we have a warm and secure experience since birth where our primary caregiver is perfectly attuned to our needs and wants that allows us to better understand ourselves and navigate the world. More often than not, this is not reality. I help you process and identify attachment wounds and patterns so that you can be fully accountable to yourself in establishing connection.

Many factors of the parts of ourselves can cause division and disharmony if not focused in the present moment and whole-bodied aware. Tuning into strengths, sensations, and somatic healing I can create real-time feedback to help create awareness and insight to better address barriers in your life.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certified, which I utilize as a component to my approach. I believe that trauma is something that is horrific, but it is also something that you have already survived. My approach is to utilize the body to create a safe space first through self-regulation, and then to create opportunity for processing secondly. In doing so, we collaborate in working towards your goals.

Trauma itself is a scary thing. The aftermath of trauma can be overwhelming. I believe in creating the space and opportunity in teaching and encouraging you to regulate yourself in your daily living. This can be done through a multitude of methods and tools, but ultimately through the understanding of impacts on your body and mind. With this understanding, I help harness self-compassion and accountability to confront trauma and achieve resolution.

Intimacy is a delicate experience that develops over time and fluctuates as life moves forward. I understand the importance of maintaining a strong connection with your partner, which is why I offer couples therapy to help identify, communicate, and address any patterns of disconnect. With my support, you'll develop the tools and skills needed to maintain a healthy relationship.
