About My Clients
Most of my clients come to me feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the pressure of holding it together all the time. They want more out of their life but find themselves stuck in the past, isolating from others and unsure of themselves. They crave healthy relationships and they are ready to make a change, but they fear being hurt. They are ready to recover from their past and expand their inner resources.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with those who are struggling with trauma, anger, or emotional dysregulation. Additionally, I work with couples and families who are looking to improve communication, enhance intimacy within their relationship or maneuver life transitions/conflicts within themselves and/or family members. I operate from a person-centered, trauma-focused, and attachment-based approach. During sessions, I predominantly work from an emotionally-focused (EFT) perspective, bringing in elements of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). We move at your pace, to get “un-stuck”, and increase your strengths in order to move forward and thrive. I recognize that opening up can be challenging for some, and that therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
