About My Clients
If you've struggled with anxiety, depression, family or relationship problems or substance use disorder, I have experience working with individuals with all of these struggles. In our initial session, we will discuss what you wish to work on in therapy and what improvement would look like for you. My person-centered approach allows for me to structure sessions in a way that best suits your needs.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master degree from Lesley University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Drama Therapy; which is the use of theater techniques for therapeutic purposes, which can include role-playing/creating, storytelling and embodiment practices. For 2 years, I worked with young and older adults recovering from Substance Use Disorder; both in a court-appointed setting and inpatient. This allowed me to also work with various other struggles such as anxiety, depression and PTSD. Over the past year, I have also had the privilege of working with individuals with relationship struggles and anger management. I offer person-centered, holistic therapy that utilizes CBT, DBT and mindfulness techniques along with creative arts therapy. My educational background in drama therapy allows me to help clients explore the different "roles" and "stories" they developed, and how they can form new ones that are more empowering and aligned with their highest self.
