About My Clients
I support kids (7+), tweens, teens, young adults and families who are anxious, stuck, and overwhelmed. It’s really hard to be a human, especially during the years where you are growing and changing the most. You’re learning who you are and how you fit into the world, and often feel lost and anxious.
My Background and Approach
In sessions with me, we explore the “why” of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and then we work together to help you take steps forward, always at your pace. I don’t push or pull you along: we are a genuine team. I have specialty training in treating OCD with Exposure and Response Prevention, and help those with obsessions and compulsions to face their fears and find their lives again. With younger kids and tweens, I also incorporate fun and playful activities to develop and practice skills such as cognitive flexibility, relaxation, stress management, following directions, or facing fears.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone matters and everyone deserves to experience belonging. I believe in deeply listening to those whose voices are often not heard. I value connection, understanding, and seeing others for who they truly are. I value humor and laughter and love to celebrate successes: multiple coworkers in multiple workplaces have told me their clients hear laughter coming from my office and want to know what kind of therapy is happening inside!
