My Background and Approach
I have been in the field for over 10 years and licensed for 7. I use an eclectic and personalized approach to therapy interventions as you are a unique individual. I truly believe that each client is the expert in their own life; I'm here to guide, offer some fresh perspectives, and be a support for you. First priority in my practice is creating a safe and welcoming space for you that is constant thorough the entire experience. I try to help equip clients with tangible tools for in-the-moment needs, but also explore underlying and core beliefs that may contribute to feeling more activation in certain moments. I provide psychoeducation often, combined with gentle and affirming feedback. I am all about embracing YOU and what makes you tick; revealing those special characteristics about you and how to show up most authentically in this world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the goodness and resilience of human beings. I believe each individual has unique strengths, abilities, and gifts. With my time of being a social worker, I have realized more than ever that we are all just doing our best, and learn ways to survive through the hard times and celebrate during the triumphs. You'll find me saying this often: the only constant is change. I'm here to help you accept and maybe even embrace certain changes. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and partner with the side of social justice in my community actions and contributions.
