About My Clients

I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, divorce, and major life transitions. You may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or just trying to make sense of experiences that have changed you. I also have a particular interest in working with women, individuals navigating religious trauma or deconstruction, and those affected by difficult family or relationship issues.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I believe that many of the patterns we struggle with developed for a reason, and therapy can help us understand them rather than simply trying to make them disappear. Together, we may explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped you, while also paying attention to what is happening in your body and nervous system. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), existential therapy, polyvagal theory, mindfulness, and somatic approaches to help you better understand yourself and approach your experiences with greater curiosity and compassion. As a graduate clinician, I am practicing under clinical supervision at Knox Therapy Center. My work is trauma-informed and centered on authentic connection, presence, and meeting you where you are.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people deserve the freedom to explore who they are, what they believe, and what matters to them without judgment or pressure to arrive at a particular answer. I value curiosity, authenticity, compassion, and respect for the complexity of each person’s experiences. My practice is affirming and inclusive of LGBTQ+ clients and welcoming of people across identities, backgrounds, beliefs, and relationship structures. I also have a particular interest in supporting those who are questioning, deconstructing, or redefining religious or spiritual beliefs and making sense of how those experiences have shaped them. I believe there is something powerful about being fully seen and still accepted. It takes courage to look honestly at our stories, especially the parts we’ve learned to hide, minimize, or carry alone. I believe healing often begins when we can meet those parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion instead of shame.
