My Background and Approach
I have 9 years of specialized experience working with infants, children, adolescents, and families with many types of mental health, emotional and behavioral issues. I have experience working with different cultural, racial and religious backgrounds. I use a wide range of psychotherapy modalities based on the individual or family needs. My goal is to help you build your strengths and develop skills to be able to better cope with the challenges you are facing. I want to give you power to manage your challenges and emotions. I have additional training in CBT, Art Therapy, Infant Massage, Mindfulness, Meditation, PCIT, Perinatal Mood Disorders, Play Therapy, Sandplay, Solution Focused, Thought Field Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I love helping others learn ways to better cope with the challenges of life, find hope, heal from pain, grow, and have a more fulfilling life. I believe that mental health is very important to living a healthy and fulfilled life. I am an LGBTQ ally. I am active in the Black Lives Matters movement. I have experience with working with cultural/racial identity and issues, gay/lesbian identity and issues. I believe that many have challenges in life no matter identity and need help getting through those challenges.
